This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit teaching listening and reading skills. In my case I had always thought that speaking skills (fluency, pronunciation and grammar) were more important than listening and reading were skills you learn in the way but never paid attention on how important this was. Now I understand that teaching English should be done as a whole. With this lesson I understood that there is a way to practice listening and reading along with the oral part. Sometimes reading can be a bit boring if the topic is not interesting for you and in a class you have a variety of likes so we need to take into the account this variety and not to focus on the topics that we like. The more we get to know our student the more you are going to be able to choose appropriate topics for each taste. These two skills should not be let aside and integrate them to our lessons.
