Unit 6 is about the past tense forms. It talks about the past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. What I learned from this unit is one of the differences between the past perfect and the past perfect continuous. Like with the present perfect and present perfect continuous, this is really hard to explain to non-native English speakers. I learned a little bit more on how to explain the differences between the two past tenses. I also learned some good game ideas for using the past tense with the students.Unit 11 helped me to better understand ways to use the receptive skills reading and listening. Both reading and listening are equally important and should be used extensively in the classroom. Reading and listening topics should be chosen carefully as to keep students motivated and interested throughout the lesson. Although each topic will not interest each student individually, throughout the class use different topics as to interest students. This unit also helped me to better understand the straight arrow ESA lesson more in depth.
