From this lesson,I learned that there are 2 groups of materials expect the coursebooks. They are authentic materials and created materials.Created materials are so useful for me include crossword, word search puzzles, role-play cards, flashcards, gap fill activities and story pictures.It also shows the samples of each created material.About the course book,there are advantages and disadvantages. As a teacher, I need to know how to use it's advantage.Talking about the past is often very difficult for English learners, as every rule seems to have many exceptions, and there are many instances where 2 or more tenses are acceptable. Its always difficult to decide whether to teach them by showing them the rules, or just practice until it feels natural. I very often teach past simple or past continuous, but it is rare that I have to teach past perfect continuous, so this lesson was quite useful for me.
