Teaching special groups can seem challenging, but is actually simple once the needs of the special group is determined. Beginner ESL students can be further divided into several groups to help prepare lesson plans for specific needs. Two categories are adult beginner and young beginner. Both groups will have different needs and lesson plans will be based on the groups specific needs. Another special group is the business English learner. For this group it is important to conduct a needs analysis to determine their special needs.I think it is very important to understand receptive skills as a teacher, and to be able to not only teach English but to help student improve their receptive skills will benefit them greatly as this ability enable students to improve their English over time. Some of the more specific types of reading or writing purposes seems a bit vague, or rather overlaps in my opinion as the words used to describe the purposes in the lessons seem a bit overlapped, or over simplified. Other than that, I think the lessons were rather informative.
