This unit provides an overview of the different types of classes and learners teachers may work with: beginners (of different levels), individuals, children, special purposes (such as business clients), and mono- vs. multi-lingual classes. Each subject is broken down nicely with suggestions, methodologies, and activities which are relevant and effective with those particular students. The Needs Analysis worksheet is a great idea which can be altered for different students and purposes.In unit nineteen, special groups are discussed. Tips and techniques are given for beginner groups, individual learners as well as children or business English groups. Other general tips for teaching are given such as being over-prepared rather than under-prepared for lessons. The part about not using the students' mother-tongue or native language in the classroom was the most useful because I wouldn't have thought that using their native language would be a drawback before reading this.
