When approaching English Language, we need to go in with an open mind regarding the best technique in teaching our students. The \"ESA\" method has shown to be one of the most productive method in introducing students to a new language. Through engagement, we tickle our students minds to get their interest in the lesson, later on, we have \"Study\" stage whereby students will need to know the technical details of English Language and finally, we have \"Activate\" in which students are able to fully work on their own to test their limitations.It was mentioned in this unit that the productive skill, writing, is often seen as the least important in an ESL classroom, which I have found the be the case. I also would usually leave most writing activities for homework being that students need as much time as they can get speaking with others in the classroom in the target language. However, writing is very important and should be included sporadically throughout lessons. This unit provided a great activity with the use of comic strips and speech bubbles that I plan to use in my lessons.
