This unit focused on both conditionals and reported speech. There are five main conditionals that you may find yourself teaching: the zero, first, second, third and mixed. Each conditional has it own structure as well as its own usage. As a teacher it is important to understand the structure and usage of each one so that you will be able to clearly explain to your students. When reporting speech you often have to change pronouns, tenses and time expressions. For instance, this becomes that and today becomes that day when reporting speech.Despite the title ?Modals, Phrasal Verbs and Passive Voice?, this unit also deals with a fourth subject, ?Relative Clauses?. I know you do not like repetitions but you also ask in this ?reflexions? section what I have learned. So, again, I have to say that I learned to use all of these naturally but with no idea of why, what they were, how they were classified or what the rules were. So, again, a very interesting unit for me - learning how to have a chance to explain the students rather than counting on their memory in a dumb way.
