I learned that it's very important to smile and care if your students are learning. In the first video, I saw how the teachers attitude frightened the students and preventing the students from participating. Pair work in the second video allowed the students to feel more comfortable and try because they were not alone. Telling students that something is \"easy\" is a big mistake . Giving clear examples using miming and photo's is also very important. Miming to show action words and giving examples of \" the soldier who crawls\" was new to me.This unit covered past tenses. If anything, it could be said that past tenses are confusing at best. This is in part because they often employ auxiliary verbs, they sometimes have the same structure as present verb tenses depending on usage, and there are many irregular verbs in the past tense. Similar to the unit that covered present tenses, this unit was valuable because it broke down tenses into basic parts in a way that I normally do not as a native English speaker and the unit also noted areas where non-native speakers often make errors.
