This topic has allowed me to develop my phonological skills for teaching children the correct pronunciation of English words. The different teaching aids helped me to plan and think about how to best deliver pronunciation to the class to make it clear and easier for them. The phonic alphabet also helped me understand how to use is is my teaching. Furthermore has shown me that ere is no correct way to split teaching pronunciation whether it be a whole lesson or then and there when the ildren need it.Learning about Grammar Translation, Audio Lingualism, The Silent Way, Task?based Learning, and PPP was a
great refresher. The methods gave rise to thinking of various ways to teach a class and engage students
to use English more than their native language. I can see that all the methods have pros and cons, some
with more pros and others with more cons. What would be interesting is a teaching method utilizing all
the methods together to some degree or another. How we learn as humans is fascinating!!
