This final unit covered potential difficulties teachers might encounter in the classroom. Establishing rapport between the teacher and students as well as among the students themselves was discussed along with suggestions for handling large classes, reluctant students, and varying levels among the students. These suggestions, such as using choral and pair/group work for large classes and having extra activities on hand for quicker students, were quite helpful. I learned a great deal in this course. The units were well organized and clearly presented. Thank you.In this unit, the past tense was covered. This included past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. The usage notes were extremely useful in teaching students the correct time and situation to use the grammar points. Also the tasks helped me fully grasp the grammar points completely. After doing this unit I used the grammar usage in one of my classes and found the students understood much better when completely the task set. I think the best part of all of these units is having the activate stage activities that match the grammar points.
