In unit 10, the videos showed the differences between the incorrect and correct ways of teaching English to foreign students. The thing that struck me most about these two differences was the attitude of the teacher and how it can strongly effect the students participation in the class room. In the first video the teacher was not encouraging the students to understand the material in the proper manner, rather he was discouraging the students by negatively reinforcing the students when they answered the question wrong. Additionally, the teacher had high expectations of the students to know the material he was teaching which intimidated the students. In the second lesson, the teach showed enthusiasm and happiness which helped the students want to participate. He also was calling their names, which overall made for a better student teacher rapport.
