This unit covers morals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. Modals are used to express different ideas such as obligation, possibility,permission, ability and advise. I have learnt that there are two voices in English, active and passive. Passive focuses on the subject while active focuses on the agent. There are three types of phrasal verbs, transitive-which needs an object, intransitive which cannot have an object and transitive inseparable in which the object or object pronoun comes after the particle.The content in this unit covered a wide variety of parts of speech in the English language.Specifically, the rules, uses/applications, meanings of, similarities, and differences between nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions. I found this unit to be more of a refresher course for me, rather than something entirely new and foreign. Although,I think I have learned to be a better verbal communicator, and hope that my students will benefit from my knowledge acquired from this unit.
