This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I thought the layout of the lesson was a bit confusion. Unit 11 dealt with listening and reading while Unit 12 dealt with speaking and writing. While the two pdf files correctly separated the receptive skills from the productive skills - it was the video that was confusing at first. While reading Unit 11 and watching the video it was confusing since the video focused on productive skills first then receptive skills. I was not sure if the Unit 11 test would cover only the receptive skills. My suggestion is to separate the video into two parts so that it would not be as confusing.this unit focused on the use of text books in the classroom lesson. the unit explained both the advantages and disadvantages associated with the use of course book, it also caution teachers how some of the course book will not fit appropriately for the level of the students hence needs thorough analyses and if possible supplement with some relevant material. however, it also warned about over omission which could also make the entire use of the book less effective.it also provided a guide on how to select books based on price, availability on the local market, design and others.
