I think, sooner or latter teachers will be exposed to teaching different groups of students; beginners, adults, children, and business groups. Therefore, he/she should be over-prepared and have the necessary knowledge and techniques to cope with all kinds of situations including those where you have to deal with discipline, lack of motivation, and find yourself compromising with the outcome.
Good teacher is very patient and flexible, and able to be adapted to all circumstances.I feel that i have a better understanding of the characteristics of a good teacher with each lesson. As a language learning, i also place emphasis on not only listening but reading skills. It was help not only to understand how to structure a listening lesson but to also get a better idea of the types of reading and listening materials are proper to use. I had been thinking the more authentic the material, the better, but learned that this could actually be counter-productive.
