I really enjoyed this lesson especially all the links that were given. It was very helpful to see there there is so much information out there that we can use to help our students. Here in Senegal it is hard for students to buy books, but with all these resources that we can download and print off I can see that won't be a problem. I'm been a bit worried about teaching as I haven't been confident that I would have the right resources. But with this lessons and many of the previous ones I can see that there are many resources that I can use to help me in my teaching. This unit (Evaluation) has given an adequate explanation as to why learners of English have to be evaluated. This is to enable the teacher know the level , progress and weaknesses of the students. Some of the ways to assess a students language level are, tutorials, tests and evaluation by students. Tutorials is when the teacher at the end of each lesson or week review what has been covered and students understanding of language. Students can also self evaluate the lessons by answering questionnaires. Tests can either be placement, diagnostic, progressive or practice.
