This lesson provided two very distinct teaching examples. The first lesson showed a teacher who focused on the specifics of what he wanted to teach without considering how to make it effective for the students. He was repetitive, spoke very quickly, and intimidated the students with his reactions to their answers. The second lesson was performed much better. The teacher was friendly, encouraging, and developed a better relationship with the class. He was more clear with his expectations, what they were learning, and produced far more participation from the students.In this unit I have learnt how to manage a classroom. Firstly, the teacher should pay particular attention to the way he behaves when relating with the students. In this respect, eye contact, gestures and the voice have to be used in a controlled manner. Subsequently, it is important to be aware that there are pros and cons for all the different ways of grouping students, as well as that various classroom arrangments can be used for numerous purposes. Reading this unit I also got to know how to effectively write on the board, give instructions and manage discipline.
