This was an extremely useful lesson. I often find it difficult to balance teacher talk time and student talk time and I really enjoy hearing some ideas. I really liked the idea of having students confirm directions to an activity rather than constantly explaining it. I am guilty of this myself, and often find it very difficult when creating lessons. Lastly, I find it very easy to establish report with my students; however, I did like the suggestions such as allowing students to correct themselves and making sure that students also bring supplies form themselves.Of all the units until now I fell this was by far the most difficult and potentially most useful. The explanation of some aspects of phonology, particular the International Phonetic Alphabet and the mouth diagram with explanations were particularly thought provoking and useful. Many of my students in the past have struggled with some sounds of the English language, and though often providing a model of pronunciation is sufficient, sometimes it isn't enough and now having studied this unit I feel more equipped to help students overcome some pronunciation problems
