This unit is the first chapter of the tense system, it introduces us to the present tense. It goes through all the aspects of this present tense, all four of them: the present simple, the present continuous, the present perfect and the present perfect continuous. For these four aspects, we get introduced to their form and usage, typical mistakes and errors but also the exceptions to the rules and how to approach the activate stage of teaching these aspects.In this unit, importance is focused on how to be able to allow students to be creative so they might use as many vocabulary words as possible in a creative way, while the teacher works with them to work on accuracy and spelling. Fluency is very important part of the lesson, but if students have not mastered accuracy it will be difficult for them to use fluency at all. Letting students be creative for fluency gives them confidence on speaking more and more.
