While past tenses are not as complicated as present tenses they still have some similarities. Just as the others it is important to learn and be aware of these tenses to effectively be able to teach them and answer any questions students may have. I found that there is no easy way of teaching irregular verbs, but if I had to choose a way to teach them it would be with flashcards. Once the students had an opportunity to look at them I would have them pair up and quiz each other.Very often ESL teachers come across the difficulty of teaching groups that may require a slightly different or specialized skills.Teaching beginners is different from teaching adults as the former group usually lacks motivation.Similarly teaching adults for business groups needs extra effort as the students' age,need and level are different from one another.The teacher has to keep all these in mind.Moreover, teaching English to an individual students carries both dos and donts.
