This was a helpful lesson that provided examples of the effects of the teacher's overall attitude on the class. How the teacher presents the material can drastically alter the attitudes of the students. A simple smile can ease the tension of the class and allow everyone to better absorb the material. Speaking loudly, slowly and clearly is also very important. The difference between the two lessons was extremely clear. The students in the first lesson were uninterested and the teacher did not explain himself very clearly. The second lesson was much more effective. The past tense has four forms, the present simple form, the present continuous form, the present perfect form and the present perfect continuous form. The present simple tense indicates a habitual action, the general truth, to relate future plans and to tell stories and news. The present continuous form is used to indicate actions that are happening presently. The present perfect form is used to indicate actions that were completed in the near future and the present perfect continuous is used to indicate actions that began some time the past and is still ongoing.
