In this unit we went over the advantages and disadvantages of using course books and materials. Some of the advantages is that it has already been tested and tried, it is structured to help a new teacher, and it can be very well balanced. Some of the disadvantages include the fact that they are created more generally and less to your groups needs, students may be less interested in them, and they may be outdated. However, finding a balance between course books and created materials can be very useful and very effective.On this Unit I was able to understand better the Classroom Management. I could learn how eye contact, gesture and the teachers voice should be used. The students names should always be used in the end of a sentence, never in the beginning so that all classroom is alert. I have also learned the pros and cons of whole-class grouping, student worning on thier own, and pair work activities. I was also exposed to how teachers should write on the board to reduce the amount of time me, as a teacher spend with my back to class.
