In this unit we went over the 2 productive skills, speaking and writing. We learned some of the main reasons why people communicate. We also looked at the difference between accuracy and fluency and the importance for both. Like we have learned before, we were reminded of the importance of making sure the topics chosen are ones that the students with enjoy, that way they are more likely to be engaged. We also went over some precautions and things to look for in speaking and writing.This unit exposes teaching approaches of many engaging ways in order to catch the attention of the students. We all have receptive and productive skills, sometimes, ones better than the other, so a teacher must find a way how to get and keep the attention of the students so they learn the topic with excitement, while being motivated. Teachers task is to prepare and find out subjects that students feel interested towards and use it as an instrument to make students follow the lesson.
