This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The Unit delves into the teaching of receptive skills, both reading and listening. There are several aspects discussed, such as the reasons for reading and listening, the ways in which we do and the possible difficulties that present when doing either of those activities. The general idea is that as long as the reading or listening material is not too difficult or too easy for the student and it's of interest (be it that they were interested before or the teacher manages to create interest in the subject) then it'll be more likely for the lesson to be successful. This is a very difficult unit for me, becuase I have very little knowledge of English grammar. The second unit provides lots of useful information for me to identify my errors and misunderstandings, also had helped me improved massively at English grammar. The context was enjoyable and easy to understand, which is very good for my absorption. I have always had great difficulties on grammatical usage, often confused with the different usage of verb, preposition. But now, I have done lots of extended research and extended reading on top, I have felt more confident.
