Covering past tenses, this was one of those units where the more I stared at it, the more confusing it became. Perhaps I over-complicated it, because once I reviewed the present tense unit as well things became much clearer. I can see that past perfect continuous would be the most complicated to teach, due to the two auxiliary verbs used. In fact, I had not even noticed this until I studied this unit which says a lot about how helpful this unit actually is.In this unit, I learned about lesson planning. I appreciated the sample lesson planning paper that was included in the unit. I think this will be very helpful when I begin teaching. I noticed that teaching English is quite different from teaching math or history in school. English classes are much more participative and varied, and require much creativity on the part of the teacher. I look forward to lesson planning and beginning my English teaching career.
