In this unit we covered some of the common problems an ESL teacher may encounter, and how to deal with them. While it is impossible to cover every single problem a teacher may encounter, I feel a good number of them have been included. A good teacher must know that problems will happen from time to time, and they need to have strategies to deal with these problems.
In this unit I feel I have learned some good ideas for dealing with problems that I may face in my future as a teacher.The content in unit 9 was related to the different future tenses in English. Future seems like it will be the most difficult grammar to teach students because it often uses past and present words. This unit helped me understand the logic behind all the future tenses, especially future perfect, future continuous, and future perfect continuous. Before reading this unit I would not have known how to explain the future tense grammar system if a student had asked me, but now I am able to.
