As someone who already works in a classroom setting, this unit seemed to be a lot of common sense. However, I understand that some people may not understand how to control classrooms and build rapport with students in a progressive and calm manner. I think one of the things I did learn from this unit was about balancing Teacher Talk Time and Student Talk Time. As language teaching is new ground for me, it was interesting to learn about how important STT really is.Using materials in class is essential. I have never attended a school that did not provide any kind of materials. I have always had professors interested enough to bring additional materials to class. As a result, us, students, were extremely receptive. Understanding the students' expectations will be key in deciding what kind of materials is needed. The real question is how to adapt the curriculum from a school in two different countries using the same materials.
