The purpose of this unit was to outline the different types of assessments in the English language learning world. It began with the tests found within the learning schools themselves; the placement test to determine level; the diagnostic to determine knowledge; the progress to determine how the student is doing; the practice to prepare for an external exam. And then it outlined the types of exams outside of a learning school, such as the TOEFL and the Cambridge Assessment.I have never thought about the fact that the price of the course book should be taken into consideration. Maybe it was so because the school would always pay for them. It is good to know.
It was good to revise what a boomerang type lesson was and how to apply it.
Another good tip to always remind yourself is that course book is never enough. Even though I usually find some extra material, I sometimes forget but then I immediately see the difference in the results. Thank you.
