We can assess the student's language level through tutorials, evaluation by the students and different types of tests. Tutorial can be done with the whole class or individual. Evaluation by the students can create genuine interactions, develop a much greater awareness among students. Different types of test like placement test that is taken to help the formation of the group of students, diagnostic test is designed to tell us and the student what they do and don't know at the beginning of the course, progress test will give information to both of you and the students on how they are progressing. External examination is offered by the Cambridge Assessment. I learnt from this unit that there are many types of test that can help us test the student English language level. It can also help us know what type of lesson we can give them after each test.
