This unit is about teaching new language focusing on vocabulary, grammar and functions. It teaches us how to select and teach the language. Here are few points to remember:
1. Vocabulary:
a. Difficulties are depend on... - similarity to the native language and the words they've known. Spelling and pronounce, Appropriacy
b. Selection of voca - Appropriacy to task and students, Frequency and coverage, Teachability
c. What to teach - Meaning, usage, word grammar, interaction, spelling and pronunciation
2.Grammar:
a. What to teach - Meaning, usage, forms and patterns, spoken and written form
3. Functions
a. Areas include... : Inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, suggesting etc...
From this unit, I mainly reviewed what I've known already, and studied how to write lesson plan focusing on proper language and different types of ESA structures.
