Teaching themes: use of Songs, chants, music, games, stories, arts and crafts, seasonal activities and drama to assist in teaching. What did I learn? Variety is the spice of life if it’s interesting. So many different themes to use and mix to help the process of learning and maintaining interest. Section 7 I found very interesting as it was aimed at three different age groups and 4 different language levels and it seems as if one can use any theme if it’s applicable to the learning objective. Getting the kids involved through asking questions or purposely making mistakes, miming, acting, chanting, singing, art, craft, reading, listening with eyes closed, pelmanism, wordsearch, assisting the teacher with board marking etc. (Lesson 3 confused me a little when it seemed to go off on a tangent about planets but turned it around to body parts)
