In this section I learned about Classroom Mgmt and its aspects: the use of voice, gestures, setting up the physical space, grouping students, pair work, building rapport with students, and discipline. I liked the actionable behaviour tips such as saying a students name only at the end of a question, or knowing some personal information with students, or using eye contact to build rapport, or gestures to reduce TTT, or using simple and consistent language as well as asking students to explain instructions, in regards to instructions. Again the importance of student talking time was reinforced. Private chats, changing seating in the class were examples regarding discipline. Again the knowledge task was helpful for consolidating knowledge. In sum, these CM elements appear very important in a class and I am grateful for the behavioural tips given here.
