Unit 10, video lessons, provided a good and a bad example of teaching a lesson. It showed how attitude and being prepared can have a huge impact on how a class is run. The bad example showed things a teacher shouldn't do, such as: repeat the same thing over when it is clear students do not understand, not demonstrating or giving examples, and only giving criticism. In the second video, the teacher immediately greets his students, introduces himself, and learns their names. This engages the students, which also helps him later in his lesson. In the second lesson the teacher demonstrated, gave example, and explained things in new ways when students did not understand. He had the students engaged and actively participating. He also put the students in groups to do work. This unit highlighted important factors in having a successful teaching experience.
