There are seven future tenses, although two to three of them are actually present tenses used in a special way. The future simple is used in promises, threats, predictions without evidence, definite future facts, and more. The future continuous is used to demonstrate a process that is happening at a point in the future, or it can be used to ask for others' plans without affecting their decisions. Future perfect refers to tasks that will be completed by a point in the future. Future perfect continuous communicates how much time will have passed in the process of something at a point in the future. Going to future reveals plans that were premeditated, and predictions that were based on evidence. Present simple (referring to the future) is used to convey formal facts and plans. Present continuous (referring to the future) conveys definite plans.
