This unit focused on incorporating games, music, stories, dramas and other fun activities into a lesson plan to help engage the students as well as teach the language point(s) of the day. It also gave a list of web resources that can be used when preparing a lesson. When deciding on a game, it is more important to decide what you want to teach and then think of a game that you could adapt, rather than doing it the other way. You need to make sure activities are age appropriate for the students in your class. I appreciated that even if you doing a story, you can work on all of the skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) if you take the time to think of how to incorporate them. That was something I had not thought of before. I really appreciated the practicality of this unit, as well as seeing the ideas planned out in a real lesson plan.
