Testing and evaluating students should be done on a regular basis as it helps in knowing how much did the students improve through a specific period of time. There are many types of assessments/tests such as the placement test which helps the teacher to know where to seat the students in the class depending on their answers to the basic English language questions. Also,the diagnostic test which is taken in the beginning of the year to indicate the language level of each student for the teacher to have a background about each student so she/he knows which materials and supplements that satisfy the class needs.Additionally, there is the progress test which is the most important of them all as it shows the improvement of each students and what did he acquire from language and it also helps the teacher to know what parts does he/she still needs to work on.
