This unit covers how to effectively introduce vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions to students. The vocabulary section advises how to select which vocabulary, the aim we wish the students to achieve from learning the vocabulary and examples of how to deliver the vocabulary in the classroom. The grammatical section covers what we want the students should achieve from grammar and techniques to deliver it to the classroom. The teaching language section covers what language functions include and how to incorporate them into a classroom lesson.
From the unit, I have learnt what criteria I have to consider when choosing vocabulary, and what I must ensure my students must learn from the vocabulary lessons. Also, I have learnt what students must learn from grammatical structures and general ESA lessons ideas I can use to cover these areas.
