This unit has briefly described the general theories about learning and development from infancy to full maturation. I learnt that learning and behavior is classified under four major categories and that unlike the rest other theories, events according Maturation theory take place regardless of other stimuli. Group1 (5-9yrs old) and group2 (10-13yrs old) show different behavior in class as the later are more conscious and the former are less conscious and play more. I learnt one of the best way to acquire language is by total immersion. Also learnt the most appropriate method for teaching group1 is EP(engage practice i.e. more chanting and dancing) while for group2 ESA methods(staright arrow, boomerang and patchwork) are suitable. Moreover i learnt the different class arrangement with their pros and cons. I learnt that English language skills are dynamic
