This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This lesson introduces how to plan a class. Creating a lesson plan is important to help keep a teacher on task (time-wise), identify what the learning objectives are, keep a record of classes taught throughout the year, and to help reduce unnecessary wasted time and words. The lesson plans provided are basic and can be used for any lesson and learning level. Obviously depending on the school, there might be specific lesson plans asked for, but this template can be easily adapted. The most important part of every lesson plan is establishing the learning objective(s). From there, teachers can be creative with how they wish to reach those objectives. The 'how' will also depend on the students and the classroom situation each day. Teachers must be adaptable and assess these realities before as well as during each class, and adjust the activities accordingly.
