Overall teaching new language there is 4 important things that a student must do, be exposed to the language,understand its meaning, understand how it is constructed and be able to practice and use the language.
A teacher will need to base the lessons on the level of English that the students have ie a beginners class needs clear and visual language.
There are various techniques for presentation and practice of language structures such as discussions and using pictures and real objects.I have found this unit extremely difficult, it is true what is first written in your module, as we are native we do not recognise the sounds and the placement of our tongues while making them as it just happens naturally. It does help me gain an insight as to just how important these skills are on the path to both being a good student and being a good English teacher. it also truly makes me appreciate those that have learnt the English language to the point of fluency; utterly admirable.
