I thought the most interesting part of this unit was the Place of Articulation. Doing all the verbal exercises myself reminded me that we do actually place our mouths in different positions when we pronounce words. I think teaching pronunciation is very important and should be implemented into every lesson. Most teachers might neglect this topic because the confidence to pronounce English words may be lacking for many foreign teachers. The stress of certain words in sentences is almost just as important as teaching pronunciation because in English, a sentence can mean something entirely different simply by the emphasis on certain words. A good technique for teaching this to students would be to gather a bunch of similar or same sentences that can all have different meanings depending on the emphasis on which word, pronunciation, and how they're saying it.
