This unit covered a video of a lesson done in two ways. One in which the teacher over used jargon and had a poor attitude towards his students and a second, where the teacher effectively captured students' attention to teach them a concept using the ESA method. The second video helped show how effective an ESA structured lesson can be from introducing a new topic with a fun group activity to drills where students can receive quick feedback to using their new skills on their own in worksheets and activities.Conditionals refer to past, present and future tense possibilities that result in consequences. The five main conditionals are meticulously explained and taken apart in this unit. I especially enjoyed the teaching ideas provided.
Reported speech occurs when a person who took part in a conversation relays or reports that conversation to a third party. Here different scenarios are given where this takes place. Also given in this unit is a explanation on how verbs, pronouns and time expressions are influenced.
