To have a well developed plan before teaching allows the teacher to be ready for any surprises that may come up in a lesson. Lesson planning, with flexibility, will allow the lesson to flow well and to have a logical process to work through. Being flexible gives room for those issues that may arise that you never anticipated and with a well organised and prepared plan will also allow these learning opportunities to not take you too far off track with your lesson while also meeting the students needs.In this unit I looked at different problems that can usually appear in a classroom and how I as a teacher can help solve them. I learned about ways to help establish rapport on the first day of class depending on wether the students know each other or not. I also learned about how to deal with large classes and how we as teachers can run the class and help the students. The last thing I learned about was encouraging an english environment and the normal reasons for students using their mother tongue.
