This final grammar unit covered up a lot of important grammar lessons and stood out as a review on some of the most important grammar lessons that any English language teacher should know. Introducing the different usages and present and past forms of the modal auxiliary verbs was very useful. Moreover, the expected challenges and mistakes that would face any learner was of great importance to me. Last, the sample activities regarding the grammar lessons and specially for the activate stage was really good.I did not know the term language functions, but this is a really important aspect of communicative English. I am grateful that I now know the terminology because I feel like I focus on this a lot in tutoring English and coaching for English Speech Contest. Although the students may understand what they are saying, how they say it is equally important. It shows more fluency in a language if you are able to sound like you can agree/disagree etc and show engagement in what is being said or what you are saying,
