This unit talked about the different equipments and teaching aids we use inside the classroom. I've learned how to effectively use these equipment as well as the advantage and disadvantage of each. Though we have more than a handful of equipment and teaching aids we can use in the classroom, it is important to be wise in choosing which equipment we should use and consider factors such as the level of students, age etc. Using too many of these could be too overwhelming for our students while using too few could lead to a boring class activity.I learned when I should and should not use the mother tongue of my classroom as well as the benefits of having a multilingual classroom. I also learned that there are various things I should keep in mind depending on the age-range of the class as well as reason why they are there. For example, some people may only need English for work and apart from that have no genuine interest in the language while other adult students may have chosen to take the class and therefore are much more interested in the concepts and idiosyncrasies of the language.
