This is my first time learning specific syllables within the phonetic alphabet. I had fun figuring out how what syllables sound like what. I am interested to see how students react to phonetics. I can see how this topic would be a bit of a challenge for students to understand and how pronunciation may cause students to become discouraged and loose motivation. However that just makes it that much more important that instructors remain positive and encouraging when trying to teach english.
