There are two clause,the 'If' clause and the main clause,and either can come in the first part of a conditional sentence. The 'if' clause contains the condition that has to be satisfied before the action or state in the main clause can be realised.These are also modified if back shifting. For example today becomes 'that day', 'yesterday' becomes 'the day before' or the previous day' 'tomorrow' becomes 'the next day's or 'the day after' etc.Often times reading and listening take the backseat to speaking when it comes to learning a language. But the reality for so many is that reading and listening are the foundation that makes it possible to think in terms of a foreign language down the road. Seeing a language and hearing it can help students explore cognates and pick out the structure of the language. I think this lesson excelled in showing practical examples in the classroom.
