In this unit, it focused on the importance of speaking and writing. These two skills are part of the productive skills which allow students to express themselves. In terms of speaking, accuracy and fluency are equally important and can be practiced by drilling, prompting, role-plays, debates, discussions and others. They usually falls under the study phase or activate phase after the students have grasp a certain level of understanding and confidence to express. Games could be useful in the betterment of these productive skills as it can help to motivate the students by sparking their interest in the language. However, when it comes to writing, teachers have to take note of the handwriting, spellings as well as the layout and punctuation of the students' writing because these are the common fators that would affect the students and teachers' understandings.
