There are three difference tenses in the English language; the past, the present and the future. These tenses have four aspects to them; simple, continuous (progressive or participle), perfect and perfect continuous. Forms and usages were taught. I've learnt that as an EFL teacher, it is essential that one has a competent knowledge of these tenses although it may seem intimidating.Using phonemic alphabet is the most effective way to teach pronunciation. Even though English is spoken differently in different parts of the world, the phonemic alphabet stays the same. That's why it is a good standard to use. When teaching pronunciation, the teacher can use his own mouth as an example, visual aids like a diagram of the mouth, tongue twisters, and having the students practice the phonemic alphabet followed by reading words in the phonemic alphabet.
