Unit three was very informative because it helped me hone in on the different teaching methodologies and structures of a class. It will be a great reference point for how to properly engage or correct a student. I realize it is important to keep positive and always praise the child and focus on the good behavior, but there is a balance that must be met and respected. I loved the ideas and examples for teaching at the different phases. I will absolutely be using that for my class to get everyone to engage, study, and activate in a fun and positive learning environment.This unit discusses the different types of tests and approaches to administering tests in an ESL class. This covers the kinds of tests that a teacher can give to their students, how often they should conduct these tests, and the external tests that the teacher will need to help the students prepare for. I found this unit helpful insofar as knowing the different kinds of external tests and how the teacher can help the students with them. For example, knowing all of the different acronyms and what they refer to can help to identify what your students will need to know.
