There are different possible situations regarding if we teach a large class, a class with different levels, first lesson or class with reluctant students.
There isn't a method more efficient than another, but I'll have to adapt to the class and the students too. A good warm up is never a wast of time. On the opposite way, a good warm up prepares the students to be more confident and comfortable with the curriculum and the teacher.When preparing to teach a new course, teachers must make a decision about course materials. Will they follow along with a provided text book, create original materials, or rely on a combination of the two? There are advantages and disadvantages to using a textbook in the classroom. After reading this unit, I have come to the conclusion that textbooks are great tools for creating a linear syllabus, tracking student growth, and supplementing original materials. Teachers should always evaluate and improvise to meet students' needs, which may mean altering or adding to text book lessons.
